A 5-star hotel in the heart of the Vaucluse, five-star hotel Crillon Le Brave is a dreamy destination. With many of us looking ahead for a much-needed autumnal escape, the property has unveiled a series of exciting packages to try once travel quarantines ease once more.

1 Try a hot-air balloon ride 


Keep your head in the clouds with a hot-air balloon adventure. Take to the skies and enjoy a relaxing glass of bubbles whilst admiring the beaming countryside below – all while soaring high in the sky in the region of Roussillon, a one hour drive from the hotel.

Discover hilltop villages, hidden chateaus, lavender fields, wild sage and other hidden treasures which only a balloon ride can reveal. Talk about experiencing Provence from a new perspective.

2 Conquer Mont Ventoux by bike


The striking Mont Ventoux reaches a height of 1912m and is on many keen cyclists’ bucket list, having featured in the Tour De France multiple times.

Hire bikes from the hotel concierge and head up Mont Ventoux for a memorable and magnificent ride, with incredible views at every turn. The true reward will be the sight from the top – as well as the delectable meals you’ll get to devour back at the hotel, guilt-free. For those less inclined for an intense workout, enjoy cycling around the hotel’s surrounding alleyways and village.

Prices start from 50 Euros per day for a bicycle and 75 Euros per day for an electric bike. 

3 Explore Provence via vintage car


If you’re going to gallivant, you’ll need to do it in style. Explore Provence on wheels in your very own vintage car, be it a Mehari, Mini Moke, Fiat 500, 2CV, Triumph or Mustang.  Guest will be given an all- important roadmap with suggested local landmarks to discover – zoom around and enjoy hidden gourmet and antique markets, as well as historic villages such as Gordes and Roussillon.

As part of the experience, Crillon Le Brave’s chef Anissa Boulesteix will create a special Provencal-style picnic for guests to bring along for the ride , stopping off at one of the region’s many picturesque points to enjoy. 

Prices between 225-800 Euros per day, including the delivery of the car to the hotel.

4 Sip your way through Provençal wine tours  


Wine lovers, grab your glasses. Crillon Le Brave comes with a world-class wine region – pay a visit to neighbouring vineyards such as Côtes du Rhône AOP Ventoux, Châteauneuf-du- Pape, Beaumes-de-Venise, Gigondas and Vacqueyras. Set off and meet the passionate wine- growers and sample their exceptional, often organic wines. Hic.

5 Partake in wild Provençal picnics


Lastly, for something deliciously romantic, partake in a picnic. Re-discover the pleasures of a picnic in nature with three picnic baskets specially created by Head Chef Anissa Boulesteix using locally sourced products. Bite your way through a Provencal-style picnic menu according to guests’ preferences – with plenty of salads, sandwiches and pies to try.

Price is 35 Euros per person.

For those looking to burn more energy other autumnal activities include tennis, cycling, hiking, golf, kayaking and local favourite Petanque, which originated from Provence. Crillon Le Brave will close on 2nd November, so don’t miss out on the autumnal action.
